Effects in Town - Guild Wars Forums

Hey all, I have just got a quick question. I always seen the particle effects in town, the RoJ looking blast, the decay on the players and the sparkles on players as well. Can anyone tell me what these are? Are they tonics, titles what? Thanks in advance for your answers

the decay one is prob someone who has seen Brother Toasi (Factions) took the drink in the quest but not finished the quest hense the decay effect

Tonics only ever transform you into another person/creature. Their purpose is not to create different animations.

might also be the envoy emotes from the pvp update

The special dance emotes of the Paragon and Ritualist also the effects from owning the collectors edition of prophesies.

They can confuse if you don't know of them.

The Nightfall Collector's Edition dance (/dancenew) emulates the dance from Coming to America.

Each collector's edition of the 3 chapters have their own special effects when using the /dance emote - Prophecies has the Divine Aura, factions has the spotlight thing with 3 back-up dancers, and Nightfall has the disco ball + other effects around the player.

Could also be hats, zombie face paint, etc.

Wow lots of responses! Thanks for all your help guys, i figure out the effects. It was the chalice of corruption, party beacon and the eternal aura for elementalist. Thanks again for all your help!

Good news is you can have them all without too much trouble except the Divine Aura which probably needs a lot of real cash and some luck
